Planning to marry during the Covid-19 lock down?
For Blue Mountains and Western Sydney locations, I can provide a ceremony as long as it is conducted strictly in accordance with NSW distancing laws.
What does this mean for you? A Notice of Intended Marriage will still need to be completed (I look after the paperwork) one month before your chosen date. On the day of the ceremony only the couple marrying plus two witnesses are allowed to attend apart for the celebrant. Other family members are not permitted.
What are other couples doing? Other couples who wanted to marry on a specific date have decided to marry under the lock down laws, and plan to hold a big ceremony on their first wedding anniversary – and I will be there to provide the full ceremony then – although by law I must make it clear that they are already married and this is the ceremony they didn’t have last year.
Hoping this information helps
